A novel twist on a well-known pattern, Word Roundup combines the thrill of a word search with the cerebral challenge of a crossword puzzle. In contrast to traditional word searches where the player is aware of the words to look for, Word Roundup offers crossword-style clues for the hidden words. If you think word searches are too easy or if you want a new spin on an old favorite, give Word Roundup a try.
Rules
Check the side or bottom of the screen for the word list. It will move into either portrait or landscape orientation. Find each word from the themed word list in the puzzle grid. You can locate words going in any direction—forward, backward, up, down, diagonally, or in any other way.
As you place the word in the grid, click/tap and drag it from one end to the other. If you are correct, the word will be highlighted in the grid and deleted from the word list.
Letter
Click or tap the letter icon, then select any word from the list to momentarily reveal all the places of each word's first letter. For instance, if you select the word BALL, a quick display of all the letter Bs on the Word Roundup grid will appear.
Word
- Click or tap the word symbol to randomly highlight a word in full.
- If you utilize a Letter or Word tip, your completion grade won't be calculated.
